By Jessie Atkinson

When was the last time you had a banana? Did you know that if you haven't been eating bananas regularly that you've been missing out on the good stuff? Bananas are full of vitamins and mineral, all of which the body needs. Eating bananas will keep you energized and healthy for the long haul.

Banana nutrition only contain about 105 calories and only three of those are from fat. Bananas contain no cholesterol and no sodium. They do have sugar content but it's limited to 14 grams a serving. It has three grams of fiber and even one gram of protein.

But, you can't sit around eating bananas all day oh no, because of the sugar and fat. Even though it's little, it can go against you. So it's best to limit yourself to maybe just a couple a day. One good thing to note, is that you burn fat just processing this fruit.

Banana nutrition also contain the best Vitamins, like C and B6, A, as well as riboflavin and folate are. Potassium, magnesium and manganese are also in every bite and all of this goes a long way in regulating blood pressure, and protecting against muscle cramping.

But burning fat is just one benefit this fruit brings, they help to reduce swelling and build white blood cells, as well as strengthen your bones and help to prevent heart diseases.

One of the greatest things I noticed about bananas is the energy I get from them. They give a nice even burst of stable energy that tapers off gradually, not like those energy drinks or junk foods. Plus they make you feel full, so you end up eating less. And the fiber that they have helps your digestion.

As a matter of fact, the next time you get a chance, take a look at the ingredients on one of those energy drinks. Some of those ingredients I can't even pronounce. Not to mention you get a caffeine crash or an upset stomach or the jitters. Not with bananas though, because it's nice and even, and there's no crash. This is what mother nature intended.

What if you're having trouble eating bananas on a regular basis? Don't monkey around with bananas if you don't like the way they taste or if you can't easily digest them.

Probably one of the most popular ways of eating a banana is to make a smoothie. Get out the blender, put in some ice and start off with that. The next time around add in some other fruit, play around with it until you get it to where you like it. Just remember that there's no need to add any sugar to this, due to the fact that bananas already have natural sugar in them, so it's already sweet.

Bananas can also be served as sides, or added to fruit bowls, fruit salad and cereal. So start making friends with bananas in any way possible. They are one of the healthiest fruits in the entire produce aisle!
